Maintenance for Polyurethane Armor

General Maintenance
With proper care and attention, your polyurethane armor should last for many years. Although strong and durable, this armor is intended for costume purposes only and should not be used for protection. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, as heat can make the polyurethane malleable.

Cleaning
Your armor has been professionally finished with durable paint and polish. Over time, scratches and wear are inevitable. For surface soiling, wash with warm soapy water and a soft cloth, avoiding leather straps. Do not use solvent-based cleaners or insect sprays. Leather straps can be polished with regular shoe polish, but avoid getting polish on the armor surface.

Storage
Breastplates and Backplates: Strap together and hang on a coat hanger or similar system.
Shoulders: Best stored on hangers.
Helmets: Place on a stand to keep features like nasals and ear flaps hanging free. Helmet stands are available in our online shop.
Leg Armor and Bracers: Strap around a cylindrical object, such as a drainpipe or drinks bottle.
Avoid Heat Sources: Do not store armor near heat sources to prevent warping.
